Confirmed from several sources: City Manager Brenda Fischer has resigned, effective on a date mutally agreed upon by her and the Glendale City Council. In part, her resignation letter stated, I feel I have “accomplished all of my goals at this time.”
More to follow in upcoming blog.

I would love to post a comment. It would not be a nice one. I will wait to see who her replacement is.
The worst thing the City can now do is give the job to Frisoni. Let’s hope they are smarter than that.
Bu then again, it is Glendale ….
Obviously, it will be someone selected by the power hungry City Council.

After 17 months on the job, Glendale City Manager Brenda Fischer resigned Feb. 12 during a city council special workshop executive session.
The exact date and time of her resignation was unclear after a statement was read by Mayor Jerry Weiers following the meeting.
“Ms. Fischer has communicated to the mayor and council that she has accomplished all of her goals at the city and consequently intends to resign as city manager at a mutually agreeable time that does not negatively impact the work of the city,” Weiers said. “Ms. Fischer also thanked the mayor and the council for the opportunity to serve the city and its residents.”
Happy Days are here again !!!
“In part, her resignation letter stated, I feel I have “accomplished all of my goals at this time.””
Interesting comment since she resigned.. due to facing the fact she probably was about to be fired for cause.
So where does this leave Glendale now??? With Julie Frisoni in charge.
Interesting fact is Fisher had a public records request for all in/out emails of 3 Council Members, Tomachof (sp) Turner and Hugh, with the request deadline of 2-15-15. Why that date and then she (resigns) – hope by request – on 2-12-15. Does not compute. Hope Frisoni’s resignation is accepted post haste. Why of why is she still hanging on, maybe she can get hired on at Maricopa City Admin. Least Glendale can do is return the favor.
Justice is done. Unfortunate that the council let Ms. Fischer resign instead of outright firing her (which they would have if she had refused). Her actions warranted termination. Good riddance to very bad rubbish.
A little internet research would have exposed her professional defects before she was ever hired and could have saved Glendale the angst she wrought. She has a long track record of job buyouts, harassment issues and imagined “conspiracies” against her in other positions she held in Nevada, California and Arizona. It’s all there, matter of public record, if you know where to look. Amazed no one in City Hall apparently checked her out before hiring her.
At least the wheels came off her wagon before she could do any more damage. Maybe McDonald’s is hiring.
I thought it interesting that Ms. Fischer’s tenure in Henderson, NV was as a real estate agent.
When did she obtain the requisite credentials in public administration. Did anyone bother to check?

Unfortunately the city has a history of not checking backgrounds. Good example was NDREW Kirkland for Police Chief in Glendale. His history in Portland Oregon is appalling.
